There’s something strange that happens when on a very long road trip…you start to listen to all sorts of Songs. Songs that you normally wouldn’t listen to unless it came up randomly on the radio or at a restaurant, elevators, or even a baseball game.
But here are the notable songs that I took away from this trip:
Chris De Burgh :: Lady in Red
Like the voice and the images the lyrics conjure up. Also, the Weight Watchers commercial kept popping up in my head. And we saw a lady wearing a red dress in Vancouver.
Europe :: The Final Countdown
One of the most motivating songs out there. Plus, it always makes me want to do magic!
Joe Esposito :: You’re the Best Around
This song came up after passing some cyclist on a pretty long hill. Just another motivational song to help push through the pain.
Kenny Loggins :: Danger Zone
You never can go wrong with Kenny Loggins. But when it comes to road trips with two guys, Danger Zone never ever fails.
Jackson Browne :: Running on Empty
Just an all around good song. Great for those long stretches in California when all you’re passing are farms and a whole lot of nothing and are wondering where your life is heading.
Neil Diamond :: America
Because when out of the country, you just want to feel at home.
10,000 Maniacs :: More Than This
Another all around good song. Slow, smooth, and catchy. Just the perfect song for zoning out.
Jesus and the Mary Chain :: Just Like Honey
Only listened to this once. But I thought I’d throw it in as a bonus because it goes with the previous video. One of my favorite movies and scenes ever.
